HEAVY TRUCK MECHANIC
CRJ HEAVY TRUCK IN PORTER, TX IS LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME HEAVY TRUCK MECHANIC SALARY IS $19.00 TO $24.00 /HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time
Diagnosing all aspects of vehicle and equipment repair - Performing road calls and emergency services as necessary
- Communicating professionally with customers, other team members and managers
- Moving vehicles safely around the yard areas
- Performing vehicle maintenance with appropriate troubleshooting and diagnosing
- Removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling and adjusting vehicle components
- Evaluating work after completion and prior to release
- Read and interpret electric and hydraulic schematics
- Repair hydraulic and electrical systems
REQUIREMENTS
- Diesel mechanic with 3 years experience
- Valid drivers license CDL is a plus
- English speaking Spanish is a plus
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge in diesel engines, alignment, brakes, data entry, diagnostics
- Solid understanding of hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting
- Able to read, analyze and interpret technical data, drawings and schematics
- Self motivated and show accountability in all assignments
- Own and supply basic set of hand tools and storage box. All other large or specialized tools will be provided by the company
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand all day
- Frequently stoop, kneel and bend
